Our first London (Patrick John – known as John) who arrived here in 1810 and promptly died one month later… has been for me quite a brick wall.  After a recent trip to Sydney I have had a reply from the lovely people at the Sydney Town Hall archives.  They are looking to see if they can find any records of our John who is quite potentially buried beneath or near the building in the earliest cemetary in the settlement.  I’ve done quite a bit of hunting around for John and I strongly suspect he may be here.  Let’s hope we can clear this brick wall.
